The nanosecond pulsed fiber laser is commonly designed with master oscillator power amplifier (MOPA) architecture. The master oscillator generates initial pulses at ns level. After pulse shaping, the single-stage or multi-stage power amplifier boosts the pulse supplied by the oscillator to achieve high power output.
The nanosecond pulsed fiber laser is a high power pulsed laser source based on the wavelength which is safe to human eyes. It adopts high performance narrow linewidth distributed feedback (DFB) semiconductor laser as seed source, and built-in signal generator. The multi-stage optical amplification is optimized to achieve high peak power laser output with ns level pulse width. This nanosecond pulsed fiber laser is suitable for distributed temperature sensing (DTS) system, fiber optic sensing, LiDAR and other applications in various industries.
These lasers are powered via 5-12V DC power supply, designed with industrial standard DB25 communication port. Besides, the pulse output can also be achieved by external TTL signal, suited for system integration.
Remote sensing is the science of obtaining information about objects or areas from a distance, typically from aircraft or satellites. Remote sensors like LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) collect data by detecting the energy that is reflected from Earth. These sensors like LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) can be on satellites or mounted on aircraft.
In contrast, active sensors like LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) use internal stimuli to collect data about Earth. For example, a fiber laser-beam remote sensing system projects a laser onto the surface of Earth and measures the time that it takes for the laser to reflect back to its sensor.
